Mr Stephen Salerno

(Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon)

Mr Stephen Salerno received his medical degree from Monash University in 1995 and worked, in a number of hospitals in Victoria and England, before commencing formal Plastic surgery training in 2004. He completed his training and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2008. He has been practising as a Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon for the last 15 years and has a dual site practice with Private Rooms in Werribee and Moonee Ponds.

He is a Melanoma expert and regularly attends the Melanoma clinic at the Alfred Hospital where he is also appointed as a Plastics and Burns surgeon. He is regularly involved in the education and training of junior surgeons. Mr Salerno has extensive experience in the management of Skin Cancers and performs surgical procedures both in Public and Private hospitals and onsite in our clinics. He offers services in the diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of skin cancer and the ongoing surveillance with Molemap skin checks provided by our team of Melanographers. He also specialises in hand surgery such as Carpal Tunnel Decompression, Trigger Finger and Ganglion removal.

Mr Salerno has a keen aesthetic eye and has years of experience performing Cosmetic surgeries such as Breast Reduction, Abdominoplasty, Liposuction and Upper Eyelid Surgery (Blephtharoplasty) to name a few. He is cofounder of Papillon Skin Clinic (Moonee Ponds) and has the resources to use other modalities to enhance the surgical result by minimising the scar. He is renowned for his knowledge, his surgical skill and together with his attention to detail you can be sure you will be in safe hands. Most importantly he has the right credentials and is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Dr Helen Maroulis

(Medical Aesthetic Doctor)

Dr Maroulis graduated from the University of Melbourne Medical School in 1994 and worked in a number of Victorian hospitals as a junior doctor including the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Royal Children's Hospital. She trained as a Neurosurgeon in prominent units in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2009.

Dr Maroulis worked as a Neurosurgeon for over 10 years during which time she also completed a Masters of Advanced Surgery, (Cerebrovascular) at Macquarie University in Sydney. In 2019 she retired from surgery due to hand dermatitis and immediately started training as a Medical Aesthetic Specialist to complement her husbands Plastic Surgery Practice.

Dr Maroulis has completed training courses in injectables and trained closely with Mr Ian Carlisle (Plastic Surgeon) who is her mentor. She regularly travels interstate and overseas to further her skills in advanced injection techniques and facial anatomy. She is the cofounder and Director of Papillon Skin Clinic and leads a growing team of talented and enthusiastic individuals.

She is passionate about offering science based treatments that deliver results for her patients in a safe and luxurious environment. She has a keen aesthetic eye and together with her understanding of facial anatomy you can be sure that your results will be natural looking.
